Good like Steak seasoned like shake & bake My whole approach to this album was different then past projects, Sequence 6, Transition Ep and various other projects I have had the privilege to produce. I wanted to break it down to a digestible platform. That being a menu so to speak where the customer places that familiar order while expecting something new to be on the board.



The decision to make the album in this format 1st came midway 2006 while working out of a garage (I was there temporary until I moved back to the Bay Area) in the central valley Visalia, CA to be exact. That is where I started laying the groundwork for what the Gourmet Classics album has become.




FRESH OUT THE TOASTER (News)




I started working and re-working ideas I had over the past 2 years while listening to the pulse of current industry standards. I realized that I wanted to do something completely different. I wanted to express that Classic essence as I had in the past of defying what the expectable format and almost expected styles of the times are to be.



So with that came experimentation with new Gourmet flavors. With the enlistment of Sebmaestria out of Paris France. Seb and I started out in a fresh new direction.

With Seb sending me a wealth of beats

I had the privilege to cherry pick the ones that spoke to me,

those that I was instantly able to connect with.



I proceeded to pen the joints Hands of Time Growin Up and thirdly Going Down feat: Cesar Comanche of The Justus League. http://cesarcomanche.8m.com

Then we have the classic team up of Jendor and Tape Mastah Steph. Two Joints: Cut the Apple in Half". This lil diddy unbelievably was created in two and half hours. Tape Mastah had just put the beat up on his www.myspace.com/tapemastah page.



When he offered Jendor choice of his new beats, Jendor wisely chooses the beat he turned into

Cut The Apple in Half. So while TMS took a nap back at the ranch in Dallas Tx Area, JENDOR got in

production/writing/hunger mode and wrote the rhyme, recorded the cut & added some extra production touches and walla... Cut the Apple in Half was born. Called TMS and he nearly took an ape smitttttt! lol



The same general muse was found with "Drop Bombs 2 Elevate". JENDOR and TMS are use to this kind of work flow where TMS hands JENDOR a 2 track stereo mix of a beat, and J goes to work. This kind of understanding of how each other thinks stems from their friendship and history in the Bay Area underground scene.



Next, we have the single that is still opening doors for JENDOR and that is the pioneer bboy anthem: Pave The Way featuring Architect http://www.myspace.com/thearchitect777

on production and DJ Fresh on the cuts. An original Tribute to the Pioneers. A true classic in the making!

whom yall should be hearing allot of in teh near future his work in the iindie music market is

extensive and his board skills are top knotch!

A couple joints from the Transition EP: Favorites such as "Flawless" has been remixed and producedin a fresh but new resemblance to O.G. version It is definitely a plus to the weight of this album.



Then one of the most requested joints from the female fans is "If I Ever Leave". Production by "Persaud". This joint is going to stand the test of time, so we had to put it on the new album.
