About this time of two years ago you would have most likely found me training for another season with the nationally ranked U of I wrestling team. That's when the passion and desire I poured into wrestling began to transfer towards a newly found passion for music. I decided music was something I loved so much that I needed to put more time and energy into it. So, I retired from the team and began my so called "training"!

Time I normally spent training for wrestling was re-directed towards becoming the best singer-songwriter I could. I wrote and played as often as I could and began voice lessons every few weeks. The place I grew the most was playing out at as many open mics and local shows as possible.

After about a year of consistent work I had a line up of material that I believed to be my best work. Once I had the material I wanted to jump right into the studio to record it! Through writing and recording this debut cd I learned a lot about music and myself as an artist.

I learned the process is a lot more work than I would have ever previously. I also learned that if you have passion for something you will do whatever it takes to make it happen. I've learned a lot about patience throughout the entire process. I started out with an idea of exactly what I wanted and I wanted it immediately. It hit hard when I realized how much work and focus I had to have if I wanted to get the cd done right.

I got a full time job after graduating from U of I and started saving up to fund the project myself. I was blessed to make some great friends that have made the cd possible. I'm very thankful for all the people who helped me get a bit closer to my goal.

The cd "Matter Of Time" should be finished by Spring-Summer of 2008! Get excited, because I can't wait to get it out to you soon!.
