Bard of Ely is a Welsh Bard with a big difference - his beard is green!

Bard of Ely is a Welsh singer-songwriter, poet and freelance writer who comes from Cardiff but who moved to Tenerife in the Canary Islands where he currently writes a column for the Tenerife Sun newspaper and also writes articles for Tenerife News.

Bard of Ely was the compere for the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2002 and 2003 and he has also performed at the festival as a singer and musician. Bard of Ely was also in the Green Man Festival in Wales and he dyed his beard green for it but kept it afterwards and is also known as Green Beard.

Bard of Ely's song You're a Liar, Nicky Wire was released on the Taffia EP on Crai Records along with his song Harvest Home and You're a Liar, Nicky Wire was rave reviewed in the NME singles as well as featured on the BBC R1 website.

Bard of Ely under his real name Steve Andrews is the author of Herbs of the Northern Shaman (Loompanics), described by Howard Marks as "excellent."

Bard of Ely was a co-presenter of In Full View TV series on Choice and has appeared in many other television programs.
