ABOUT:
Beginning
Dan Oberg and Steve Wright were in a band together called No Reason Given. After No Reason Given disbanded, Dan and Steve decided to start a band in 2007 that was just good solid punk with no strings and no gimmicks. Jake McGuire soon joined One Punch Knockout on guitar and brought his friend, Peter Lazarz to play bass. With this line up One Punch Knockout began writing. They played a few gigs. In October, Jake left the group.
Revamped OPKO
So now that Jake wasn't in the band anymore, One Punch Knockout needed a new guitar player. Dan, Steve, and Pete looked for a little over a month for a new guitar player(apparently noone is interested in punk). After about a month Paul Ferguson answered their ads and became the new guitar player. Paul began getting up to speed.
With Paul
With Paul, One Punch Knockout began booking shows once again and writing new material. We finally recorded a demo EP in February of 2008.
Another Guitarist Joins the Group
Brandon joined One Punch Knockout recently. With Brandon, One Punch Knockout was given the extra complexity it needed. Now One Punch Knockout has solidified to become an energetic and fun band while keeping good musicianship and song writing.
