Shannon Haley

In high school, Shannon traveled the world as a featured soloist in the elite choir, "The Main Street Singers". A national merit winner in music, she was accepted to USC's Thornton School of Music and was one of five students accepted to UCLA in 2004 as a vocal performance major. She chose UCLA and stayed in the program her first year.
"The program was a great experience and gave me a lot of great vocal training, but unfortunately it wasn't the type of music I
wanted to sing. I'm really happy I have more time for songwriting and singing the music I've always loved!" Shannon has continued her voice studies with LA based vocal coaches Lis Lewis (Rihanna, Gwen
Stefani, Britney Spears) and Steven Memel, and she performs in Los Angeles venues such as "The Canyon Club", "The Maverick", "The Cowboy Palace", and "Whisky A Go/Go". Of Shannon's songwriting, LA vocal guru Steven Memel recently said "I've been in this business for almost thirty years, and through my teaching and Taxi duties, I've been exposed to thousands of songwriters, and Shannon Haley is the best young songwriter I've ever worked with."

Shannon is currently recording her first CD in Nashville with producer Mark Moffatt, and is establishing writing relationships there with some of the city������¢���¯���¿���½���¯���¿���½s top songwriters. Markis an Aussie and did all the early work for Keith Urban. Shannon is currently a finalist at famecast, and recently won the female artist of the month with 50% of the vote in a six way competition at newcountrystar.com in February.

Shannon is 21 years old, dual Australian and American citizen, and is scheduled graduate from UCLA in
June of 2008.
