ABOUT:
Most rappers in the industry today state the phrase, its not where you from but whatchu got. If there were any one who could be a perfect example, that individual would be rapper/producer/songwriter/African gospel chorale base vocalist BASSMAN.

His debut album I got lucky features USA hottest rappers as Lil O and Huli Shallone appears courtesy of Hit Em Hard Records, and Bodaiga appears courtesy of Down Low/Sony Urban Music, is an autobiography. The media surnamed him MC globalisation because of the number of languages he speaks. To understand the concept behind BASSMAN piece of art, you have to follow the directions of his ancestors 3T The Triangle Trade, most knowing as trade of Slave and fact is that he travelled from Africa to America and from America to Europe, just to accomplish his goal.
This album is who I am, is what the world today is all about, so many different races and cultures coming together for one cause, world peace. And I have privileged to be a part of it. BASSMAN is well Known for his great character, positive way to represent Hip-Hop, not only by energetic and crowd engaging performances but also lyrically as Im constantly solving conflicts around the world / develop a better place for your boys and girls - African Soldier. Even in some songs you can witness that he might say things that we do not necessary want to hear as those days are over now / look what happen now / were forced to emigrate in the city of Nazis / white supremacy and the KKK / rest in peace Steve Biko / we aint going no where / we went from slavery to a civil war / and from civil war to industrial slavery - Lord tell me why.
Actually, the inclusion of new sound occurred alongside with the demand of new generation of musicians and BASSMAN is a prefect example. The artist is only trying to play his part in promoting hip-hop and music in general. Therefore, BASSMAN is well aware of the contradictions of Hip-hops globalization process just like most of the international MCs, and thats the reason why he shares love and talent for music in general with his people not only in Africa but all around the world.
